Each chapter is accompanied by a short scene from the show, as well as a bit of flavor text to help flesh out the details. Eren, Mikasa and Armin have their own story branches, with a couple of show favorites, Levi and Sasha (Potato Girl!), thrown in for good measure. Humanity in Chains tells much of the story from the anime's first season, kicking off at the point where Eren and his pals are combat ready and set to go out on missions. Its one of those games where I can't help but wonder what an additional six months in the oven would have yielded. It's a game of extreme opposites, demonstrating clever design and occasionally brilliant moments in a package that, overall, feels rushed to market in order to capitalize on the popularity of the series. The game is very simplistic and easy to learn within a few minutes but has enough charm to hold me for hours at a time. The physics and overall mobility of the game feel not far off from the rush I got when playing Spider-Man 2 on my old PS2. When I see the word replay-ability when it comes to games I will now mention this. The gameplay was fun and simple enough but because the game was so short I found myself replaying the game over and over again. It has the same appeal to me that games like Flappy Birds and Temple Run did.
